To make the most of your three days with your gown, here are some tips and tricks for you to review
1. We do ask that you wear little to no makeup when trying on the gown. Instead, opt for finished hair and a little mascara, it goes a VERY long way when getting the full look.
2. As long as the gown is not too short, alterations are to be expected and can work magic! Remember, you can take in a gown about 2 sizes and let out about 1 size. *If you are unsure about the measurements, we have had brides make appointments with their local tailor to get a second opinion.
3. It's rare that you can wear a bra with your wedding gown, so pasties or bra-less will give you an idea before you put cups in during alterations. While you might not need it, shape wear could be good to have close by, but try without first.
4. Good lighting is everything. Trying the gown on by a window will give you a better idea of what you gown will look like outdoors in natural lighting.
5. Please be mindful to not wear prongs jewelry when trying on gowns. Delicate fabrics can often get caught and cause holes and pulls in the dresses.
6. Seems a bit silly, but please refrain from having animals near the gown. Their thin hair can catch in just about any material.
7. If the gown had a bustle installed, it may have been packed with it in place. If so, feel free to undo them so you can see the train in its full effect.
